Lab 7.1.3.6 is mostly a verification lab. We have to add a network to an existing topology. We also have to tell R1 that a new network has been added. We do this using the routing protocol called RIP. To accomplish the addition we have to use the new command router rip and network. After that it is a matter of watching the PDU while the network reaches convergence.
